does any one know where i could do a local teddy bear class perhaps at a weekend ? I work full time and would really appreciate some expert help with sculpting.

Yes...a course at Bear Bits will set you up forever!! I am their biggest fan....I did their course when I started out. I am not self taught..I am self motivated... but I learned the basics at Bear Bits and their tips and methods have stuck with me since then. I learned the rest by trial and error..
