My Autumn Storm Empty My Autumn Storm

Post by Paula Sat Sep 27, 2008 2:39 pm

I spotted this piece of fabric at the Teddies 2008 show (Bear Basics) and despite promising myself I wouldn't buy any fabric at the show, couldn't resist buying it! It's absolutely stunning ... a lovely charcoal grey undercoat, with beautiful frosted tips. I have complemented it with subtle olive green detailing and I'm really pleased with the outcome!

Storm is a whopper at 22" ... it feels so good to get back to my big 'uns, despite the credit crunch!!!! Very Happy

What beautiful fabric, and what a lovely bear Paula. Sometimes I think I may like to try something bigger than my usual size, as there are so many lovely fabrics which I can't use on my little ones ( mind you 22 inches would just be far, far too big for me to manage!)

Thanks everyone! I really enjoyed making this one ... it's been such a treat to work on a really big bear again and the fabric is stunning. I'm really pleased because Storm found a new home straightaway and I have been having to let other collectors down ever since, which just goes to prove, there is still a market for handsome big bears!!!!! Yay!!!!!

Yvonne, it was so nice to have you next door at Hugglets! I really enjoyed our natters too! It's just a shame we live so far apart, or we could catch up more often ... such are the lives of bear makers!
