Ted Worldwide 2009 Nominee

Post by Kathleen on Sat Nov 22, 2008 12:42 am

Hello furry friends:

toot...toot...wooooooooo...wooo... WhaHoo......Kathleen tooting our horn!
After close to six months of waiting and a little cooperation from Germany's end, we've found out that Nimbly Bears is nominated for both our enties. Shocked (We sent an email expressing we would like to know if we had been nominated as we would like to enter our sujects in other competitions that would soon be closing. (Rules state that entries can not be entered or advertised elsewhere or you will be disqualified. Now, if only we had asked her to defined advertising. Is putting a post on our own web or blog advertising?)

One nominee is for the Red Baron and the other is for Ursula made in tribute to BC's 150th Anniversay celebration, she is a kermode, teddy bear and I hope we don't sell her. Rolling Eyes

We're just in the hobbyist catagories cause thats were we fit but fingers crossed, I hope it to be good beginning.

I soooo, thank chief Sue for getting me started this week on webs, formerly freenet, should we pick up any interest we will at least be able to direct them to our site!
lol! lol!

Yes, my partner and I make Nimbly Bears, his last name being Nimbley, we thought it sounded cute as bears are often described as nimbly. I didn't mean to confuse anyone, but when I registered I did not know it would read as my first name. And yes, we made the teddy bear in my avatar. I recognize you as we have spoken on FB but they removed our profile and we've given up.

Thank you all for the congradulations Pauline, Sue, & Jean, Tom and I we're thrilled to read this news today.

Sue thank you for the compliment, those are my first attempts at needle felting, I liked it, as it came quite natural. Those are family pets the critters are modelled after. The basset hound is Hoover, our dog. I'm glad you can view it in person. Hopefully it is assembled nicely. Feel free to sort her out if she needs her hair pushed back or dress straightened out, tell them your her auntie.

Sue I tried to post the web today but they have a seven day waiting period. It will give me time to polish it a little and start thinking a bit about what content to put in a blog.

So very glad some of you are going to the BBAA, it's good to hear they are being supported. Plus I'm hoping to get a ear full sometime following the show. bounce
