Uploading photographs

Post by Paula on Tue Jul 15, 2008 7:50 pm

To upload photos within the forum, you will need to use an online host so that you can copy and paste the coding from their current host, as this forum doesn't permit files to be uploaded directly from your computer. An easy way to do this is to use an online photo host like www.photobucket.com

It's very simple to create an account with Photobucket, upload pics from your computer and then copy the coding to paste into your forum message.

This is my preferred method of photo uploading: It's the method I always use and it's pretty simple. If you look at the icons above your message box and run your cursor over them you will see one that says 'host an image' and one next to it that says 'image'. If you first click on 'host an image' it will bring up a window and you will be able to find your image file from your computer. Then click 'host it'. Then click 'copy url'. Next, click the 'image' icon, right click and paste your image's url into that box, then click 'ok'. That will then put the correct coding into your message for you!

It is also possible to use the photographs currently hosted on your own blog or website. Right click on your picture, click on 'properties', then copy the picture's URL and paste it into your forum message. Please remember though, if you delete your picture from your website/blog at any time, it will also disappear from your forum message!
